About Me

My professional background includes the following:

  • Transpersonal Psychologies

  • Modern Psychoanalysis

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • And I offer over 30 years of experience in group dynamics.

I am a second generation therapist. Professionally I started off as a visual artist where reality was literally what you made out of it. I moved to New York City from Texas in my thirties to explore that art world, entered into psychoanalysis and enrolled in a modern psychoanalytic institute. I got married and had kids, a very different sense of reality from art school and my comfort with the creative process came in handy. My family moved to Boulder, we adopted a dog and a cat and I finished my education at Naropa University while raising two kids. Naropa added a Transpersonal twist to my Modern Psychoanalytic roots as well as several years of training in mindfulness. Mix all this up into a creative approach that enables clients to make the most out of where ever they are, make use of the past that got them there, cultivate relationships and learn to work with their own minds.

My approach to working with you depends on what you are seeking. I will adapt my education, training and experiences towards collaborating with you to develop an integrated approach that suits your needs.
